Revamp Jam Goes Off !

well the park was completed on friday night and we opened the doors on saturday for a bit of a jam, Little Nick pretty much ruled the day with flip backlip and flip front board shove out on the handrail. Rob Smith close second with frontside 540 on the vert wall and a salflip over the volcano. Nev came third with much trickery including 360flip first attempt over the driveway.

Best trick went to Nick and Sexual Stu got 2nd.

The parks now open as usual from 1pm during the week days and 11am on Sat and Sunday.

Looks like the concrete is making a comeback this week more news on that as it comes in!

Carhartt Street Course Update
Ok so the parks closed,
the ditch came out in one day after it took 2 months to put in !
All the frames went together in the first day and now on day 3 the new course
has took shape. Pretty pleased with the shape of the park and everything we
wanted fits in. Will post up some pictures next week and we are having big opening doo
next SATURDAY 28TH JULY from noon should be a loads of prizes ect. Will post more details and pictures as it all becomes available.

Ok this weeks been pretty hectic down the park
first the Antiz team were down on Monday, then the Heroin Team were down on Tuesday and finally The Blueprint team last night with Colin Kennedy doing a pretty ridiculous wall ride in the street course, avit big push ! 3 pro teams in one week at the park. Yes it truly is World Famous !

yes the excellent people at Carhartt are backing the development of our hot new
park layout it will therefore been known as the "Carhartt Street Course"
we have a ruff plan drawn up and once the details are confirmed we will post up the layout.
work will commence in July.

On the 23rd.. Skate at central skatepark then party with live band (THRUST) eddy belvadere, rob smith, mike matthews, kev eley, mark kendrik at the castle hotel pub 1 min walk away from the park, you gotta be crazy to miss it! (see flyer below)

Just got one corner to sort out on the street section, then we're all done - check the progress for progress. Should be open next week, just need to finalise insurance stuff.

Shop will be open soon - decks, wheels, clothes and more.

Sound system is in - Buzzin'/Madchester/Mad for it etc.

Grand Opening Extravaganza!
We'll be having a Grand Opening on the 28th October, including 2 Best Trick Comps - one from Snickers, one from Bench, complete with tons of product giveaways/prizes etc.

Membership is required to skate/ride the Park, at a cost of £5.50 per year. If you get a Membership in time, it will be free entry for the Grand Opening (don't forget your Membership card).

They'll also be an afterparty at the Castle Hotel on the nearby Oldham St. when the park shuts. Click on tickets above for more info.

The park will be opening soon! We have a few sections of the street course to finish but shouldn't be much longer. Soon as the park is ready to open, it will be posted here.

Official opening should be around the last Saturday in October. However, the park will be open for business a few weeks before. All depends on how long it takes to get everything finished.

They'll also be a Skateshop - Central Skateshop (obvious I guess).

All reports so far have been positive with a few guys who came down today buzzin' their boobs off after skating the mini.

We've also secured a PA/Music system with a 20 speaker sound spectrum (not zx) from the legendary Johnny Roadhouse and we're also thinking about getting a video projector suspended high over the ditch which can show skate vids, etc. on the wall behind the middle mini.
